Three people in Florida have been arrested after police claim to have discovered drug activity taking place in a motel. In December, local authorities raided the Best Southern Sun Plaza motel after receiving multiple complaints from other people who live in the area. The authorities say they discovered large amounts of meth, marijuana and MDMA as well as firearms, drug paraphernalia and counterfeit money.

The motel had reportedly been housing a known drug dealer

According to the authorities, a 28-year-old woman had been selling drugs out of one of the motel rooms. She was arrested on drug charges including possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. She was also arrested on charges of resisting arrest and causing a public nuisance.

The police also arrested the owner and manager of the motel, claiming that both men knew about the drug operation and did nothing about it. Both individuals are facing felony charges. This isn’t the first raid on a motel in recent times: Two weeks prior, another motel had been raided after the police learned about potential drug-related activities.

Have you been arrested on drug charges?

A single drug charge is all it takes to turn your entire life upside down. If you have a conviction on your record, you might have trouble getting a job, finding a place to live, applying for a loan or receiving financial aid when you go to college. You could also lose custody of your children.

It’s important to start preparing a strong defense as soon as possible. A criminal defense attorney may be able to help you get the charges reduced in court. An attorney may assist you if you’re facing multiple charges at once or if you have previous convictions on your record and need to know the best possible strategy for moving forward.
